WDK FUNDAMENTALS
This course is designed to give Web developers a solid base to develop Web applications based in Content Management using the EMC-Documentum Web Development Kit (WDK). This course is focused on the comprehension of the application basic architecture based on WDK, configure applications such as Webtop, and to provide the necessary knowledge to customize WDK applications. The course which follows this one is DFC Advanced and provides multiple examples in details.

Studentīs requirements:
Technical Fundamentals or equivalent.
Knowledge of Web technology (HTML, JavaScript, XML, CSS, JSP).
Desired: knowledge in Java programming
Objectives:
Identify the advantages of the applications based on WDK.
Know the application layer hierarchy of an application based on WDK.
Identify good practices for the configuration.
Differentiate the proper files to configure WDK applications.
Differentiate the WDK components, forms, controls and environment variables
Customize JSP pages to change the control properties.
Create event handlers in the environment class components.
Use EMC - Documentum Application Builder (DAB) to specify properties and tab order.
Use validation controls.
Create custom theme.
Internationalize WDK components.
