SYSTEM ADMINISTRATION II FOR EMC-DOCUMENTUM 5

It is a course designed for the System Administrators who want to deep in the comprehension of advanced Documentum administrative tasks. The participants will learn in details the Content Server functionalities including the Trusted Content Services utilities, Mandatory Access Control, authentication, login tickets, Application Access Control (AAC) tokens, audit trail security, federations, object replication, job sequencing, Content Storage Services (CSS) policies, dumping repository objects to a file, and repository’s object load from a file.

The course also provides a solid preparation in the full-text index management. The participants will learn how to install, migrate, configure and execute basic maintenance tasks for the Server index and index agent together with preparing full-text indexing upgrades with zero downtime from former systems to Documentum 5.3. Manual in English.

Duration: 3 days (24 hrs.)

Student requirements: Documentum Technical fundamentals course, Documentum management course (basic).

Learn to configure encrypted Communications (SSL) with the Content Server.

Install and use a customized authentication plug-in to Access the repository and the Content Server.

Configure and search for audit trail records.

Configure and use Method Server to run customized methods.

Setup and use of a Repository federation.

Replication of objects between repositories.

Set up and execution of Job sequence.

Set up assignment and migration policies.

Configure lifecycle action to move a content file to a different storage area.

Create permission sets using MAC (mandatory access control) restrictions.

Install and configure an index server.

Install an configure an index agent.

Perform zero-downtime pre-5.3 index upgrade y migration.

Perform maintenance and basic troubleshooting tasks.
