Solution: Adoption of EMC- Document 4i as a corporate platform and consulting for the implementation of a single DMS system, with the following stages.

Gathering of information and analysis of policies, procedure and standards for the handling of company´s information

Logical nomenclature definition, structure classification, profiles and roles, accessibility permits, functionalities, interfaces.

Definition of a process flow for the updating, revising and publishing of documents.

Model design of DMS information objects: documentary types, structures classification, users, groups, permission lists, display formats.

Objects development.

Technology platforms installation, procedure elaboration and training for the new operation.

Loading of documents and catalogs from existing data bases.

Results: Single centralize repository with over 50.000 of the companies technical documents under a common logical schema that allows fast and secure Access to the updated and current versions of the documents, all the companies users can inquire through the intranet, in a personalized way, the drawings, manuals, Procedures, rules and other critical documents within their respective business area.

The installed solution allows the adding of new business documents through standardized procedures and control by the EMC – Documentum workflow. Also, is possible to do a complete audit to the document, knowing its history from its creation until its publishing and display.

In a second stage, the EMC – Documentum platform will be in charge of managing the companies new projects and insurance quality systems (ISO).
